But God...
The beginning of so many of MY questions; HIS response to all of them. Sometimes we go through and because we don’t quite understand, we find ourselves daily questioning, “But God…?” We ask for signs, prophetic words, anything and everything to answer the burning question. We petition the throne in prayer and fasting seeking clarity, just to find the simple answer, “But God…” And while those words resonate with our heart and spirit, our mind continues to try to piece together the “why” behind the situation. It feels like you are going in a endless circle. “It’s not that I don’t trust God, its just that I like to be in the know, you know?” Haven’t we all said those words as we attempted to share our problems with our close friends and mentors? Haven’t we all lied down in bed and stared at the dark ceiling, silently whispering those words in our heart? Its okay if you don’t want to openly admit it, but here’s a friendly word of advice from someone who’s been there and is there: Someone once said “when you can’t trace His hand, trust His heart”. We serve a great God, that takes great care in ensuring His people are holistically well. He doesn’t just cater to our spiritual needs, but He is all encompassing. In His word, He said, “He will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed upon Him.” God knows we have problems hence the reason He reminds us on several occasions to cast our burdens on Him, but He wants us to put our attention on Him, not the problem or the situation we are facing. He is aware of our needs and wants, hence the reason He instructs us to seek Him first and preceding that we shall inherit all of our needs and wants in Him. God doesn’t want us to live a stressful life, even though we live in a stressful world. So take heart my brothers and sisters, God is not finished with you yet. Do your part and be still because at the end of the day, all we can ever say is…But God.
