Character in general: So like when we first met and I hadn't seen Sunshine, I was mildly intrigued by this fluffy, emotionally distant Chair Force member with the bum leg. And then I watched the movie and jfc I fucking love James Mace. I love him. I love his stupid blunt honesty and his stupid fluffy hair and when he gets yelled at to fucking cut his hair I am dead I love him so fucking muchHow they play them: I don't think I have words to accurately describe how beautifully you brought this character to life. Your characterization is fucking flawless and beautiful and you made me care about a character I knew nothing about. Generally speaking, that takes some fucking talent. The Mun: I cry tears of joy when I think about my doe, a deer, a female James. I love you unconditionally and count you as one of my closest friends.

     After so long without him-- so long spent alone and pining, unsure and unsteady-- he can't say no. He just wanted to go and get a glass of water so he could swallow a pill or two, something to make his back ache a little less. He's wary about taking the pills they prescribed for him, but he's less likely to put up a fight when it's the middle of the night and he can't get comfortable.

    But.. he can't so no. He climbs back into bed, fingers reaching, sigh rumbling its way out from somewhere deep in his bones. He wraps himself around Mace, leg flung over his, hands clinging greedily to scraps of Mace's shirt. It's been so long-- too long-- and he presses his forehead to Mace's, smile playing on his lips.

              "Alright," he sighs. "Alright. I'm here, Jim. Right here."
