A Bittersweet Day
It’s a bittersweet day as I close the ONOSYS chapter in my career and begin a new one. Alex, Oleg, and I started the company back in college with no set goal in mind. We just wanted to build a business and learn a few things along the way - pretty simple I would say!
Even though it started out as a simple idea, it has turned out to be my greatest adventure yet. Building ONOSYS wasn’t always easy, but we had an amazingly supportive team which included remarkable coworkers, investors, mentors, clients, family, friends, and most importantly for me - Stephanie. They all understood the challenges we faced in building a company and all pushed us to make it happen. Thank you all for that!
It’s pretty crazy to think that just 10 years ago the guys and I were asking Lee & Rich, our investors, for money for this crazy idea. I guess that’s the American dream our parents all told us about when they dragged our butts across the Atlantic ocean 24 years ago. I guess they were right on that one too.
I have had a blast building the company with my two best friends. Along the way we had the chance to learn a ton, meet some amazing people, travel the world, and build some long lasting friendships. I love the company that we have built and am excited to see it keep growing.
Whether it be today or years from now, I’ll always be extremely proud to lace up the orange shoes and walk into a bar or ballroom and tell someone our story.
