OnS Chapter 89 - Analysis
Well, hello everyone, I took time to clear my head, and yes, I know it wasn’t a long hiatus but, being away from social media plataforms was good in a way.
I know the chapter was wild, crazy, sad, painful for many readers (I gotta say I wasn’t expecting that so soon, I was expecting it to happen much later and yes it made me feel sad) But let’s take a neutral view and begin, shall we?
Well, to begin with, we saw a rough battle, sad scenes but I’ve seen many doubts about the battle between Mika and Guren so, let’s start with that.
NOTE: I’m not supporting nor standing for a character, this is a mere analysis
1. Guren vs Mika
Let’s explain this. The blue color will represent Mika and the red color will represent Guren’s actions.
There are countless doubts about if Guren attacked or Mika cut himself in half, or stuff like that.
To begin with, Guren did cut Mika in half, on the first pic we see how Mika is charging up his attack as vampires always carry a sword that drains their blood in order to unleash strength; therefore, we see how he swings his sword up, in order to deal a cut with it; of course we see how Yu is worried and terrified as well since he can’t get up and move to save Mika.
On the second pic, we see Mika is trying to convey all his feelings towards Yu (NO SHIPS INVOLVED ON THEORIES). He gives him that stare that no matter what, he’ll protect his family no matter what and finally, we see Guren’s sword slash hit Mika’s body, but of course while that happens, Mika still keeps charging his final attack while cursing his existance which, to be honest, it’s painful, since he never asked to be a vampire nor he wished to depend on blood to survive, which is why he states and says to his sword to take every drop of his blood into a final attack.
As we can see, Yu’s expression is total shock to see Mika’s body being cut in the process, being unable to do anything within reach to help his brother, his last loved one of his first family, the beginning.
And lastly, on this panel we see Mika’s upper body left while his sword is fully charged to unleash a devastating attack towards Guren; of course, we can’t tell if Guren evaded the attack or if he survived with heavy injuries within the process; but, this is a proof on Mika’s determination to do anything at hand to protect his family which is Yu.
On how this happened, it is simple, Mika knew that Yu and him had no way to escape Guren, he knew very well that Guren was OP, too strong for them mainly because Yu’s link with Ashera in the possession was broken due to the drug Guren injected to Yu; therefore, the only way to deal with Guren was literally the outcome of the battle.
2. Mika’s transformation
Yes, this is the most devastating part for readers asides from the first part, seeing Mika’s body slowly “dying” or more likely transforming due to the massive blood loss.
In the chapter, it is clear that Mika ended heavily injured after unleashing his attack, he ends up falling just with his upper body and only one of his arms with it; of course Yu goes to save him and the squad follows them in order to retrieve them from the battlefield; in the process, we see Yu crying mainly because Mika took the worse after the battle with Guren.
And this is the part on which many doubt on Mika’s future; will he survive? Will he become a demon? Will he die? Will Krul help him? Few question how Mika isn’t regaining his strength compared to Ferid but let’s explain this.
There are several scenarios within this, the first one, if he will survive, it is possible he will but, the difference here is that Ashera himself stated Mika was becoming or turning into a demon but why? On this pic, we can see how he is gaining those marks that appear in vampires when they start the process of becoming demons
Now, to explain the other questions such as Krul saving Mika, it is uncertain, and the reason is simple, Krul finally managed to reach Yu and Ashera, her expression was the one of someone finally finding what needed to be found, she was focused and determinated, therefore it is left to personal thoughts whenever she will take action or not.
Now, few wonder why his body can’t recover and the reason is as stated before, he lost too much blood, he lost is arm and lower part of his body, he got his energy drained for that powerful attack while Ferid’s body has recovered from minor injuries and mainly this is for their vampire age difference; Mika is a young vampire compared to other progenitors, thus his strength is not developed compared to those with experience.
Therefore, the most possible scenario is that Mika ends up turning into a demon, but, of course miracles can happen, whenever that happens or not is a decision for the author of the story, and thus with this, I end up the analysis for the latest chapter.
Of course, this chapter gives strength to certain theories I’ll share!
P.S: The analysis doesn’t stand nor support a character, this analysis was held within neutrality, same goes for ships. The analysis and theories are never involved with ships.
What do you think it’ll likely happen? Will Mika survive or will he become a demon?
