[MEDIC] Onson Sweemey
An absolute fucking mess and a freak.
Three rats live in the Medbay walls (one with albinism, named Anadil, and two black rats which he hasn’t named because he can’t tell them apart) and he feeds them disembodied fingers, among other things. The Medbay is in biohazardous condition; body parts, teeth, and mysterious stains all around the place. A rocket is lodged in the ceiling. There are pills loose in the drawers and blood caked in between tiles. Somehow, Onson knows exactly where everything is in this mess. If you’re disgusted by the place (rightfully so) and tell him you’re going to be sick, he’ll say “Anywhere is fine, I don’t mind.”
With his violent temper and anxious disposition, he makes a perfect target for his teammates’ tricks and pranks— they just have to be able to outrun him. It doesn’t matter if Respawn is off, he’ll hunt them down with his bonesaw and murderous intent.
Onson thinks his teammates being sick is not his problem to deal with. Unless it’s ebola, polio, or the black plague, they can suck it up and deal with it themselves. His job is to swing the medigun around and occasionally sew heads back on.
He has never performed surgery sober. Additionally, Onson has frequent episodes of sleep-surgery, where he’ll wake up elbow-deep in one of his teammates’ chest cavities, unable to remember how he got there. The team’s initial solution to this was to duct tape Onson to wherever he’d fallen asleep. Eventually, the Engineer developed timed locks on the Medbay doors— if Onson enters the Medbay past midnight, the doors won’t unlock until 7 AM, much to the Medic’s chagrin.
Onson performs well on the battlefield, which somewhat makes up for… everything else wrong with him. Despite the waves of anxiety and dread that crash into him before matches, he becomes a total beast once that gate opens. His usual cocktail of substances render him tireless, determined, and bloodthirsty. Though, he can sometimes end up a little too excited— racing to the front lines alone, forgetting he’s supposed to be healing rather than hurting— and he has been known to, on occasion, tear apart corpses and use the parts as projectile weapons.
What he lacks in nursing capabilities he more than makes up for in his medicine-crafting skills. He has pills that will keep you up for days and ones that can knock you out within seconds, serums that dull pain so completely you'd think you'd been reborn, and others that sharpen your senses until every heartbeat sounds like a drum in your ears— and yes, he gets high off his own supply. Look out for him on the battlefield, because he’s got some mysterious liquid in a needle and he’s not afraid to violate the biological weapons convention.
You don’t want this guy on your team, but you definitely don’t want him on the other side.
