The Arrogant Van Houten
It has occured to me several times before that Peter Van Houten ofThe Fault In Our Starsby John Green is so terribly arrogant as well as full of himself. Although he has every right to be whatever he wants to be, and is a sad man in a very awful situation, I am still baffled as to his choice of words when first meeting Hazel and Gus. He specifically uses the word ontologically and then points out their ignorance in their lack of knowledge about the aforementioned word. Time and time again I have made an effort to figure out the meaning of this word. And every time I have failed. That makes me sad.
