One of the ancient games that I sometimes forget I never actually played, or even SAW, but simply conceptualised the existence of via its presence in a book of game walkthroughs I bought when I was young (back when you had to pay for these things).

I had no idea it had graphics. (Though apparently they’re optional)

That book (which I still have) specifies that it is a guide to the “new version”. I wonder which version was the new/old version?
