🧂 What is a staple in your kitchen? |✍️  Do you prefer discord, tumblr, google docs, or in-game RP? What makes it (or them) your preference?

A staple in my kitchen... That's a hard one since I love to cook. I'd say at the moment it's eggs or mushroom bullion. I can't do garlic or onion, makes my tummy upset, so to flavor things I use a mushroom bullion broth thing! I make too many meals to choose a single meal as a staple, too. So gotta choose an ingredient.

I prefer... Anything but in game as I like to be able to do longer posts as well as pick it up and set it down, not dedicating hours at a time to the RP. It's hard being a freelance artist and spending a lot of time on the phone with my husband to be able to do RP in game, and the opportunity to pick up and set down while taking care of the house and everything else is very good for my mental headspace as well as my schedule!

Welcome to the small rainy town of Mourningtide. There is little to do here, especially for bored young people on summer vacation. Little to do except explore, that is.

Hi! This is Icarus (@/icarianangel)! This is my collaborative multimedia project that I will be turning into a book when (if) it ends. Turn back if you don't want to participate, or just read it as it goes along!

PLOT INFO

This story is the tale of three teenagers (and some other characters, to be introduced later). Their names are Olivia, Noah, and Zilli. You can read about them in the character page or in the tag "the cast".

The tale takes place in the town Mourningtide, as mentioned above. This is a standard rainy, miserable little town, à la old detective stories. It is, however, a bit magical, as you will soon find out. Another important detail is that everyone in this world has object/animal heads, in the style of weirdcore. This is just a stylistic choice, but it will be mentioned. Each character's head type will be mentioned in their bio and art will be posted occasionally.

If we zoom a bit closer in, the story truly takes place in the Floodhouse, for which this blog and the story itself is named. This is a large abandoned manor house on the edge of town. You don't need to know anything else about this yet, as all will be revealed when the story begins.

PROJECT INFO

The Floodhouse will be told through a combination of story snippets, polls, asks, art, and potentially videos, as well as whatever else may come to mind in the moment. It will, for the most part, be linear, so if you are new, you can simply go to the first post and read from there!

It will be told through audience participation as much as possible, see please vote on polls, reblog and comment on posts, and send in asks! Through this, you can shape the story to your ideas! I know it can be scary to participate in things like this, but trust me, we will do our absolute best to make sure whatever you send in is used and we love seeing stuff from you!

The only rules for submission/interactions are:

No hate speech or cruelty of any sort

No NSFW as of the moment (the characters and the mod are minors so it's just kinda weird)

Make sure to specifically state if something you say is OOC (for lack of a better word), or it will not be taken as such

This should hopefully be obvious but, no soliciting or promotion on here? That's not what this is for lol

And that should cover all the bases for rules!

The blog will hopefully update quite a bit, but keep in mind I am still in school and have a life outside of tumblr (shocking, i know /sar)

Last but not least, DO NOT INTERACT IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR IDEAS AND INTERACTIONS BEING PART OF THE BOOK. I can't guarentee that it will ever be published, but I WILL be turning this into a full length story when it is over (date not set, it ends when it ends). I will do my best to credit everyone, but it's obviously very hard when this is being run through tumblr of all places, so keep this in mind when you interact.

Read through the past posts, or dive straight in if that's your thing!

Send an 👁️ to get a description of the current surroundings of any of the characters (if you don't specify it will be chosen randomly or all characters will be picked)

Hello! I'm ‘Revna’, an RPer who loves to explore a variety of characters and personality types. I enjoy just about any kind of RP, some of my favorites being romance, adventure, world RP and combat.
