but in more personal news, see below (tw: cancer)

my mom had breast cancer back in 2009. she had a mastectomy and some lymph nodes removed. we just were approaching 15 years and...it's come back. it's apparently caught early but we won't really know the long term until she has another mastectomy on the 29th and they get everything tested. they're also having nuclear isotopes injected a few days before the surgery to test to see if it's spread to her other lymph nodes and all. it sucks, but i'm happy i'm older now and i'm here close by, yknow?

i'd just appreciate if you kept my mom in your thoughts. she's my best friend and i hate this for her. she doesn't deserve it. but hey. cancer doesn't avoid you just because you hope.
