“The Private Needs of Cap. Kirk + Mr. Spock” – Drabble in my 6th grade diary / writing journal, written about 30 years ago.
“Oh, Lieurenant Uhura, could you please pick up my phaser from the floor,” Captain Kirk said innocently. “I seem to have dropped it.”
“Yes, Captain,” Uhura replied and she picked it up. As she did this, Kirk tried to remain unnoticed as he looked at Uhura’s exposed backside (the mini skirt she wore enabled this). Uhura handed the phaser to Kirk.
“Thank you, Uhura,” Kurt said, winking at Mr. Spock.
Mr. Spock stepped forward. He dropped his phaser. “"Oh, Lieutenant Mull, could you pick up mine, too?”
As Miss Mull did this, spot looked up her skirt. Uhura noticed.
“Well, aren't we a bit clumsy today?” she asked sarcastically.
“I guess it's because were nervous about that warship approaching, said Kirk, showing no emotion.”
“Yes, that must be it, Captain. You're right,” said Uhura.
Later...
“That went well, Captain,” said Spock.
“Yes. Maybe next time we should drop a ton of bricks.”
When I came across this a couple years ago re-reading the journal, I was disappointed at how tame it was. Then again, I was writing this “journal” for school and the teacher might be looking at it. (It also struck me how completely crap the writing as compared to even things I have written a few years earlier.)
Even so, I love that I 1) have “Kirk + Spock” in the title, 2) knew all about, workplace sexism and harassment, and 3) have them acting as one another’s wingmen. OOC, but still charming in its odd way.
schrodinger's ooc
😆 It can certainly feel that way, huh?
That moment when your muse is snickering so hard at his son’s perdictament. That you have to hit him over the head with a rolled up newspaper. Fergus is a brat.
