Starting a new work schedule this month doing the part of my job that doesn’t make me a complete mess. Trying to exercise every day and drink less, trying to write more ooc stuff. I’ve just lacked interest in RP of late, even though I love my muses and my interactions. I don’t want anyone to think I’m bored with it or that it means nothing to me. It’s a good outlet, I think I just need to step away again for a little bit. But mutuals please contact me if you want to, either about Fandom/Character stuff or just to talk!

Not sure if this break will stick, but I’m just experimenting with what makes me the most happy.

so like......in 3 days it’s the anniversary of when i got admitted to a psych center for an amalgam of reasons, four years ago. my struggle with mental illness probably began before i even realized it (like when i was a wee child), but it wasn’t until it got this bad that i actually made the effort to start healing. it’s been slow, and it’s gotten worse, and it’s gotten better.

but now i’m happy. i’m not content 100% of the time, and there are still a lot of issues i have to work out. some of them are new. but it doesn’t feel like the end of the world anymore. i can have a bad day knowing it doesn’t have to be that way tomorrow.

i guess i just....wanna say that if you’re having a rough time, it can get better. don’t give up. i know that sounds incredibly cheesy but in retrospect, that’s exactly what i did to get to where i am. i stayed alive and kept trying. 

four years sounds like a long time. twenty-seven years sounds even longer. but i can remember it as if it just happened. but even though it’s taken me a long-ass time to become stable, i don’t think there could have been a fast track to recovery. it’s a lifelong problem. i’ll be 80 and still have days where it feels like the world is collapsing on me. 

i just know i see a lot of mutuals on here struggling w/ their situations and their mental illness and i just don’t want anybody to give up on themselves.

anyway back to my original point: izuru is incredibly therapeutic for me to write.

//I’ll never understand why ships are looked at as unimportant and self-serving as compared to everything else in RP. Like...I know this isn’t true for everyone, but relationships are an important part of life. Love is a deep emotion that makes us experience such a wide range of other emotions. Happiness, heartache, lust, anxiety. A partner shouldn’t define you, but they can be an important part of your life. It’s the same in fiction. I’m tired of seeing terms like “ship whore” tossed around as if having a healthy interest in writing romance makes you bad somehow. Writing ships can be crucial to yours muse’s development and your writing’s development. Never feel ashamed of your muse’s chemistry with others.
