Hi!
Aw thank you! We will be accepting/opening on the 13th!
what does mun mean?
if you think of a blog like a puppetry, the ‘mun’ is the puppeteer and the ‘muse’ the puppet :)
this is probably a good time to say sorry for inactivity ! the mun of this blog is in college and works, so time is always a hard point. hope you’re all well!!
hello, this looks soooo cool! I have a question tho, if that's okay. is this roleplay focusing just on visual arts? wondering about
Aw, thank you! Much appreciated! I have talked this out and the decision was to open it up to more than just visual arts such as paintings, sketches, scultping, etc. So, I am down for anyone interested in going into dance, music, writing, etc. just as long as it isn’t in a commercial sense! That is just because it’ll be easier to mesh people together for events and whatnot.
Thanks so much for the question and hope this helps!
roleplay habits 12 :>
is there ever been a time when you’ve had to drop a roleplaying partner because you’ve found their writing style exhausting?
oof. yeah sooooooooooo
i got some history in the myth rp world lmfao. there was someone that i attempted to write my odin against, like, mostly because i wanted to give them a chance and they seemed nice at first. they were always lauded as such anyway buuut
the style they wrote in was just not like... it wasn't matching. to say the least it was extremely surface level and basic and I MEAN if that is what they enjoyed awesome! and if they had writers who liked it and wrote with them... well great!
but i couldn't get deep with our stuff and it felt so boring :( :(
sooo i politely explained to them we just weren't matching and that i appreciated them but would not continue writing with them and they got SUPER upset and then it started this WHOLE THING where like... idk, real colors were shown is all i'm going to say.
are you a morning, day, evening, or night writer? how does tiredness affect your writing? how much do you proof-read as you are writing vs. proof-read at the end? when you are writing a reply, how much ahead in the thread do you plan?
I am a whenever i have time and energy writer. when i had my job i was usually stuck writing evenings and then weekend days, if that.
and i barely proof-read because i am a lazy fuck. if i happen to catch it when writing, great, but if after? welp. i'll edit if i can but otherwise that's just how it's gonna be lmfao. i am THE sloppy bisexual your parents warned you about.
i also fly by the seat of my pants usually until it feels like the thread is becoming more... mmm like it feels like the thread is becoming more settled? and then if my partner hasn't reached out yet then i will and begin chatting about where it's at and where it could be if we wanted.
how many drafts is a paralyzing amount? have you ever written a serious reply intoxicated?
hmmmm... i think it just depends on my mood and how long the threads are. i have some pretty gnarly adhd and anxiety that kick my ass even more if things in my life are going to shit for any reason... such as now lol. so maybe like, in this example.. uhh.. 5+.
BUT, what helps tremendously is knowing your partners are equally as slow hahaha and that they really don't care about how long you take or if you pick and choose one thread to focus on or one muse. I have very good writing partners :)
and not that i can recall. i get incredibly sleepy when i'm off my gourd so the idea of writing just makes me that much more sleepier lol.
hi! i've had an eye on you for so long but all that stopped me from applying is... do we need to know a lot about the art world? past & current trends / techniques / artists? a lot about the jobs or requirements or the art world in nyc? sorry if those are silly questions, i just don't one to be that one person who has no clue what's going on. thank you for your help!
You are so sweet! But listen, don’t you even worry! I am not an expert either. Why I decided to do this RPG was because I watched the show The Art of More and really miss it. Feel free to watch that as your research! Or just google little things if you need facts.
Trust me, if you play a character who’s an artist and talk about using a water balloon technique or something made up like that, I’d be like “oh wow, that’s cool.”
With all of the job titles, you get an essence of what they’re supposed to do, but don’t stress over it. I think in a lot of cases they also overlap, so feel free to use a little creative license.
Don’t be scared, though! And hope this helps!
What kind of posts would be allowed here? In terms of writing? Just para?
Hi!
All posts are welcome here! There is no set length limit. You can go for one-liners, gif chat, para, etc. As long as you play your character how you want to play them, by all means do so!
Thanks!
