The guy in Ood operation constantly drinking hair tonic is .... "unrealistic" (I saw as if anything in this episode is realistic) but it would have made more sense if he needed it for tremors or something. Something that makes you need it, not .... hair obsession.

Granted if hair tonic could save my hair id be drinking it constantly too
