“And most importantly-- just be yourself!”
The Tale of the Demon King: Part 2, Samael
*There's the second chapter! Please enjoy!*
It'd been a week since Olida had helped out the demon cursed as a cat named Crowley. During that week she'd learned several things about him. One of them being complaining. About everything. Nothing seemed to please the fluffy bastard. And the poor woman was at her witts end, today however was the final straw.
"Bloody hell woman! Can't you even get any good brandy?"
The British cat snapped, being an even bigger pain than before.
"Well Crowley. Not all of us have a bunch of money to throw around!"
She snapped. The cat glared.
"Don't get snappy with me just because you're in a foul mood."
He replied. Olidia about snapped. She grabbed her coat and wallet and made her way to the door.
"Oi! Where are you going you twat???"
The cat said suddenly on alert.
"I'm going for a walk! Don't ruin my stuff!"
And with that she slammed the door. She didn't know how long she'd walked, at this point she was just blowing off steam. As she literally stormed down the sidewalk she ran into an hard object, the force of it caused her to fall on her ass.
"HEY!"
She'd started to snap when she looked up to see a tall man with bright blue eyes and short dark hair looking like a startled deer. Suddenly embrassed she quietly mumbled.
"Sorry...."
A hand was suddenly in front of her face. She looked up to see the man giving her an unsure smile.
"It's alright. I should have been paying attention."
He said, his voice a bit deep but filled with kindness. Blushing she grabbed his hand and allowed him to help her up. Once she was up she said in a shy voice.
"Thanks, I should go. I'm really sorry. I hope I didn't ruin your flower...."
She said having just seen that he was carrying a beautiful flower. The man shook his head.
"It's no worries ma'am. It was an accident."
He said, a thoughtful look on his face. Looking at his flower and back at Olidia he handed it to her.
"Here. You look like you could use it more than me."
He said with a small kind smile. Olidia's eyes widened.
"I.... there's no way...are you sure?"
She muttered shocked by his kindness. The man smiled a bit brighter putting it in her hands.
"I'm sure. Just promise me you'll take care of it...."
The man said, trailing off. Olidia noticed this and looked at him. Now that she was really looking at him, there was a obvious sadness to him. It was as if he'd witnessed an eons worth of pain and suffering. It broke her heart. Speaking softly she said.
"I promise I'll take care of it Sir."
He gave another sad smile before walking away. As he walked away Olidia had realized that she never asked for his name. Turning she went to ask only to find the street completely empty. Confused and a bit spooked, she clutched the flower to her chest and went home.
When she got back Crowley was waiting for her with a scowl.
"Don't you know how bloody dangerous it is out there....."
He trailed off, his eyes on the flower. Olidia gave him a small look. Crowley had the same kind of sadness as the man earlier had about him suddenly. Still staring at the flower Crowley spoke.
"Those were always his favorite."
Olidia remained silent, listening to the demon.
"He used to love to plant and grow things in his garden. I loved watching him......he was like the garden he grew. Beautiful, fierce, and filled with kindness."
Crowley looked away, a pained look in his eyes. Remaining quiet for a bit she finally gathered the courage to ask.
"What....what was his name?"
The cat was silent for a bit before he spoke in a voice filled with pain and heartbreak.
"Samael. His name was Samael."
His voice had confirmed what she'd had thought. He was talking about a lover. Someone who he obviously loved a lot if just saying his name completely wrecked him. It was silent between the two, a heavy atmosphere filling the air. After a bit Olidia broke the silence.
"I'm sorry about your loss."
The black feline looked up at her, pain in his eyes before the mask came back on with a glare.
"I'm going to go nap. Don't go outside alone again, you bloody idiot."
Crowley grumbled before disappearing further into the house. It seemed that there was more to the demon than Olidia originally thought. Getting up to start dinner, she made a small promise to herself to find out exactly what made the demon so destroyed.
Meanwhile a man stood on top of a building, tears flowing down his cheeks.
"No matter how many years pass, it still hurts. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you....my love. My king."
*And done! Wooooooooo sorry about the angst! Anyways feedback is very much appreciated!!*

Opinion on Davepeta?
my feelings of davepeta can be summed up in one word same
but the longer version is
i love them and i’m so glad they were made but i also feel kind of, cheated? in a way? i’ve never been a HUGE fan of nepeta but i feel like davesprite deserved some kind of character arch
i don’t know if it was hussies way of saying in the real world, some people just don’t get better. not everyone gets their problems worked out sometimes it’s just better to step away from yourself and be someone new,,, or if he was just being lazy
so yeah i love davepeta to bits but i really feel like davesprite got cheated
“You are important to me.” (Patrick)
“You’re important to me too, Patrick. More than you will ever know..” No, he’s not going to full out say ‘I love you’, not yet.. he’s far too afraid of being left if he does. Even if it is true.
“ we’re just animals still learning to behave ”
“Isn’t it degrading to compare animals to us?” They loved humanity, true. Wanted to protect it, true. Believed the it was faultless and that all afflicted were always innocent? …No. Their experience in both the Scholomance and in the aftermath that began the hunt against their coven sisters only proved the endlessness to the darkness in the hearts of the powerful, the corrupted. Even a Catholic was unable to speak with deference towards their fellow man when stinging memories of annihilation clawed them with feral voracity and greed.
The staff’s grip began smoking as fire unconsciously heated Sypha’s grip in that old anger, trembling with it despite being oblivious to the smoke. “Animals don’t make war. Not like we do.”
Best love song? Everything by Michael Bublé hands down. Gonna be my first dance song when I get married cause it’s beautiful
archer looks towards the other with a solemn smile. "you remind me of someone I lost long long ago. it hurts, but it is a good kind of pain I think."
@mortalshinobi
“Long ago...” That alone reminded her about the unique circumstances servants have here; that the servants happen to have memories of the previous Holy Grail Wars they’ve respectfully participated in. Through that one comment, Emiya just gave the hint that he’s been through one before-- and her reminding him of someone had her curiosity piqued. “Will you share to me that experience, Archer? If you don’t mind me knowing, that is.”
