I just realized that I saw the "Phoenix lights".

I'd never played attention to the year, I guess, so I never made the connection.

I didn't think much of them at the time, either. I was driving home, from Mesa to Apache Junction. Saw some lights, assumed they were flares of some kind.

I guess I had a vague thought that they were kind of controlled looking, but we also had a lot of those spotlight advertisement things going on, so
