23 Oct - Tie Guan Yin Oolong F1
First time using this variety of oolong. And let's be honest, I 100% bought it because the name means iron goddess 😁
But it's also a really nice tea.
5 Nov - Flavoured
The iron goddess F1 was so nice I decided to have another go at bottling booch unflavoured - this time I diluted 10g of sugar in warm water and added that to help it carbonate.
For the other two I did:
Strawberry (200g) Rose (2 tbs) Cardamom (crushed seeds from 5 pods)
Passionfruit (200g) Vanilla (1tsp) - inspired by passionfruit vanilla slice, which is exactly what it says on the tin. Vanilla custard sandwiched in pastry and covered in passionfruit icing. In French we call it a mille feuille, but I've never seen it with passionfruit icing in France, so I think this might be an Aussie spin on the French dessert. Anyway it's a flavour combination that I really like - so why not try it in booch!
7 Nov - Bottled
Unflavoured did not carbonate. At all. I gave it ages to eat up the sugar and turn it into bubbles, but it just didn't happen. So what I ended up with was a very tasty, but very sweet, very flat beverage. Still nice though.
Strawberry Rose Cardamom was okay - initially I wasn't sure if I liked it, but it kinda grew on me after a while.
Passionfruit Vanilla is gooooooood!! Cannot overstate how much I liked this one. So much so, that I kept it all to myself - no sharing this time!! 😁
