Tolfdir congratulated me, though I regret that I was too tired to listen to his kind words. I hope he understands, and does not take my silence for rudeness. I have been granted utter freedom within the College, including access to the restricted rooms and library section, in recompense for my duties and service.

I believe I will claim the Archmage's bed as my own for the night, since there seems no argument and since the College is now without a leader. It would do no harm to spend the night resting amongst warm, soft blankets, and drinking a dead mer's wine.

The librarian was customarily taciturn, though he did slip a package of books across the table towards me with a gruff thanks for my work. The package contains several books, all of dear interest to me: another volume of King Edward, a netchbound copy of Temple hymns, a small and battered prayerbook. Dearest of all, two well-loved volumes from the Lessons, Sermons Four and Twenty-Nine. I wish I were more rested, so I might stay awake to read them all, recite the Sermons at least; I fear, if I tried in this condition, I would fall asleep with book still in-hand, and I have no wish to cause offense to the Tribunal.

Urag ignored my attempts to thank him, telling me to just get them out of his library so he can put the shelfspace to decent use. I can't help the smirk that twists my mouth at his curmudgeonly nature.

Before I left, he handed me a rolled scrap of paper, sealed with plain white candlewax. I was, of course, chastised for treating the library like a postal office, and told to get myself away before I dropped wax-flecks on the rugs.

A letter? Who could have left me this?

 A. If you could get away with one murder in your lifetime without any legal, social, or emotional repercussions, would you kill someone? I don't think I could, except maybe an uncaught mass murderer or something. Not very many people deserve to die.

D. Would you rather know everything the universe has to offer but in exchange lose all emotions or remain the way you are now? I'd much rather remain the way I am now! Knowing everything would be terrible.

S. Would you rather be the only person in the world that can read minds or have everyone else in the world be able to read minds except for your own? I'd rather everyone else be able to not read mine. I think that's what the question is getting at?
