A child is born to anime parents. They sigh in relief. She looks normal. Definitely not a main character. She will know only the peaceful mundane life of a background character.
When she reaches her first year of high school, they're tense. This is the most dangerous time in an anime character's life. But they laugh it off and remind themselves that she is ordinary and plain in appearance.
But then they see her uniform.
