Christine let out a dissatisfied groan as she glanced over her reflection. The clothes she’d gathered from the sorority rooms had a charm to it... but it wasn’t her ideal attire. Too revealing, cheap fabric, nothing like it used to be. “I know what I’m doing next Halloween,” she mumbled to herself, twisting a bit and looking over her curves.
Elodie had been sitting on the bed, the five year old bored with her captivity. Much more captive than the rest ---- she was barely allowed to leave the bedroom without her parents, and she dared not explore on her own. It was far too scary, and she didn’t need to be told that to realize it. Horrors lurked around every corner, and through the eyes of the ghost child that was enough to keep her hiding behind her guardians, and even her brother. “I like the pink one, it’s sparkly.” El commented. The apple truly didn’t fall far from the tree.
A grin stretching across the mother’s face, she nodded in agreement. “I like that one, too, baby girl.”
