I really hate how they turned Merlin’s greatest strength, his undying belief that people are trying to be better, into something twisted and broken. It turned from: people are genuinely good and we should give them the benefit of the doubt, to: everyone is out to get Arthur and even though there are some serious problems with how Arthur behaves, I have to believe everyone is trying to kill him because I can see this seed of good in him, so I obviously can't question how he treats me or let him be hurt to allow for him to grow.

They took this belief that was so ingrained in Merlin and used it against him. And I hate it.

"You   ...   you   have   to   get   out   of   here!    The   city   is   too   dangerous....       please."       and   then   she   pulled   herself    free   of   his    embrace.       Steps   distancing   them.         

"You   can   still   get   out."        If   Cornelia   was   to   fall,    she   would   fall   along   with   it.

SHE WAITED OUT ON HER FIRE ESCAPE, the crisp air sort of rejuvenating as she breathed in. this felt surreal, legs dangling as she watched who would be the father of her unborn child, climb up the fire escape to her. after their random encounter she didn’t think she’d wind up pregnant of all things but here she was, her chest vibrating with what felt like the bpm of a hummingbird heart. this wasn’t how it was ever supposed to be, it’s not what she envisioned and she was sure this was a mistake— inviting matt or daredevil or whoever to her apartment to drop a massive atom bomb on him. she could just keep it to herself, a part of her thought about it— but shed never live with that guilt. even if he wanted nothing to do with her, he deserved to know the truth at least. 

“hey.” she greeted him. “you look better than the last time i saw you.” she teased, trying to distract herself from her own internal conflict

this must’ve been her worst fear . the man has seen plenty of hospital rooms , but very few times was it because he had gotten knocked out . he felt like complete and utter shit . the lights in the room were brighter than he’s ever remembered them to be . jeremiah could’ve easily been sitting in front of the sun for all he knew . he winced a little hearing the familiar voice . “ hi to you too , “ he mumbled , sending a weak smile and squeezing her hand . he really didn’t want to open his eyes after that first try . “ where am i ? “
