I’d love to hear your Ganlink headcanons for all the different links/ganons. I like to think they all had a mildly different vibes but still the same soft helpless love.
I don’t know where to start!!!
Okay I’ll talk about my two favourites. Starting with OoT. I think that they are squabbling goblins. Ganon is stubborn and has a bit of a high horse complex (can’t blame him) and link inquisitive and likes to pry at everything. Which results in them arguing and then link finding a loophole in Ganon’s reasoning/argument. Then link is rubbing his hands while Ganon doesn’t know what to say and is just pointing at the little fucker wordlessly. And I think that’s why they would get along great and ferociously make out. They are competent (sad, tired) idiots
And if I may talk about their counterparts - phantom/dark. I think that they are in some ways the opposites of link and Ganon, but they are also the same. Phantom is quiet, patient, but also resigned. Dark is loud, demanding, and constantly moving. I think they meet each other in the middle. While they look monstrous and are just ghostly, demonic creatures, they are very sweet with each other (screams and claws at walls). Without going into my fake lore, dark is confused by phantom’s imprisonment and disinterest in escaping, phantom tries to protect the silly little shadowy spirit from things he won’t explain
I love all the iterations of ganondorf people came up with prior to totk. But I’ll just talk based off of canon. I think in totk both Ganon and link are such little fucking teases. I think they would both play mind games with each other and have the best time doing it. They challenge each other and everything is a competition and people think they are insane. But also I can imagine link trusting to express his anger about *gestures at divine duty bullshit and mcchicken hylia* to Ganon and there being mutual frustration shared between them (man yells at cloud). They bring out the worst and best in each other and I don’t think they’d have it any other way
