Ooksa Portrait
Used a photo of him laying on my bed as a reference for this one.
Ooska is a very large and very nice cat we rescued off the streets some years ago. Loves to snuggle and looks like a great model for one of those ceramic cookie jars. No, we don’t over feed him. He just gained some weight after we fixed him.
Sometimes he likes to play with some encouragement, but mostly he just enjoys hanging around the house and snuggling with his bff Rosie, who is also a rescue cat.
His name means “Skull” in Cherokee...and the spelling is purely phonetic guessing. It was a sort of accident. My mother likes to use Cherokee words to help her remember them and at the time, she thought “ooksa” meant “head.” Mom also named him that because he has a large head. Only to later find out that it really means “skull”. So now he has a bad ass biker name by accident.
He’s also very smart and even knows his name.
