Holden Commodore (VB), 1978 Introduced in October 1978, Holden's new Commodore marked a somewhat radical shift in Holden design. Considerably smaller than the full-size HZ Kingswood it replaced, the VB was closely related to its GM counterpart in Europe—the Opel Rekord E. The chassis was heavily re-engineered to cope with more demanding Australian conditions, and a longer front end was grafted on to accomodate the range of six- and eight-cylinder "Red" motors. #holden #gmh #vbcommodore #holdencommodore #opelrekorde
