For as long as Cade can remember, she's never had much confidence in herself. At first glance, you might not notice it. But it's always there, fluttering just under the surface.
Three years ago, she was kicked out of her home and cut off from her inheritance after her parents found out about her coke habit. On the streets without a clue about how to survive, Cade built up an alter-ego that would get her through whatever it took to make a little coin.
To this day, her addiction to coke is still a big part of her life, and it's developed into a routine habit she can't seem to shake. Though she still blames the addiction on the verbal abuse she received from her mother growing up, deep down Cade knows she consciously made the choice to get herself hooked. Though she's not quite ready to admit that yet.
This is where CHARACTER B will come into play. In my interpretation of Cade's character, I talked about her mother's verbal abuse and outrageous views on public image and how they shaped Cade's views not only about society, but of herself as well. The goal in all this is to get Cade to a better place in her life - one that won't have her dependent on coke in order to stay stick thin, a place where she can start accepting her flaws instead of hiding them.
Now, there are a few personality requirements for CHARACTER B's role. His/Her past doesn't particularly matter much in the canon, but their general view on life and how they treat others will. I'd like Cade to find someone who can bring her out of her shell instead of always depending on the mask she's created. Someone she can trust, who is compassionate and caring, but stubborn enough to stop her from pulling off any fast ones (like doing any more coke, etc). At first she'll be hesitant, since she's never been close to anyone emotionally, but as the plot progresses Cade will become less and less dependent on her alter-ego, and more interested in building herself up.
Warning: In the beginning, Cade will most likely be quite dependent on CHARACTER B, so He/She will have to be patient. However, she won't always be a bundle of nerves and doubts. Eventually she'll be more trustworthy and independent, and less afraid to experience new things as the Cade underneath all the previous sass and deflections.
STATUS / OPEN ADDITIONAL NOTES / Having said all that up there, this outline is only from one side - Cade's. I'm totally open to working with you to build up this plot and incorporate things from your character's bio in order to really give this idea life and flair.
