If this recent TikTok propaganda travesty has shown me anything, it’s that it’s time to start building open source, non-corporate internet communities. And yes, real life communities as well, obviously, but the internet has enormous power and influence and to abandon it squanders so much.
The real question then is- how do we prevent capitalism from ruining it? What does an internet for the people and by the people look like? What skills do we need to educate ourselves and others on? What infrastructure is needed?
