⚓ It was morbid, really, how he’d become used to this and how it seemed to affect him less and less than before. Nearly seven deaths had happened before him and yet...he just felt numb to this all; the grotesque reality left him feeling...desensitized to this and for that...guilt was the first emotion that sprang up.

Barely even able to speak above the silence, he drew in a breath and and mentally prepared himself for a ‘good outcome’ to this situation, even if it was nearly impossible to consider at the time. Raising his voice and pretending he was alone in his room, he managed to croak out, “Everyone new, please ask me questions; I’ll....I’ll be h-happy to help...”
