Any lawful man with the power to wield magic would have fought to make the world a better place. Any benevolent man would strive for equality. Anyone kind for helping the poor. But greatness wasn’t always bestowed on the good. Sometimes those with ill-intentions were granted power beyond limits, and one of these people was William Liam Talbot. A great mage who had yet to become a good man.
And he was honestly trying, even if he was questioning his life choices in times like this, when he was chasing some bloke through the brick and concrete jungle. And - boy! - was that tosser fast! With all the enthusiasm and the moves a victim to pop-culture would make, Liam jumped over the bonnet of a car and followed his target into a narrow backstreet.
Boots on puddles, water splashed, and Liam could almost feel how he, as the pursuer, was soon to be shaken off. That was when he reached out his hand and loudly called out: “Adeochosa inna husci do chongnam frim.” In an instant watery hands emerged from the puddles and seized the man by his ankles. He let out a strangled cry, his momentum lost in an instant as he was yanked downward. Still running, the mage almost tripped over his victim, but came to halt just before the tip of his boot touched the other.
"Soddin’ bleeder!," Liam growled while he knelt down to seize the other by the wrist and yanked a ring off of the stranger’s finger. Just as Liam had taken the jewellery off of his hand, the man lost his consciousness. And the ring in question wandered into the pocket of his leather jacket. He was about to get up and leave the scene, when Liam realised he had a witness. "Fuck! Shit! What are you doing here?!," he called out, eyes narrowing, "Forget what you've seen and get lost!"
