Things you may or may not know about BPD:
Copycat syndrome is huge. We have to copy those around us so we feel safe and secure that we’re making the right moves. - I find a lot of people find this annoying solely because it puts their own behavior in front of their eyes and most people don’t like seeing that side of themselves but we live it.
FOA- fear of abandonment. We firmly believe that the people around us merely tolerate us and do not actually like, love or want us around. When we feel even the slightest rejection our brain will start to reject the original rejector. Cutting them out completely or limiting interactions with the rejector. We live with the mentality that if you don’t like part of us, you don’t like us at all.
Sensitivity - we are very sensitive, because we experience emotions on a more intense level than the typical person people deem us as “dramatic” and “exhausting”. But we really do feel *that* intensely about it. We can’t control the way we react 24/7.
Actual psychosis - we can go lengthy periods of time completely dissociated and checked out from life. Some people with BPD have split personalities and can even slip into minor psychosis due to stress or feeling endangered.
We are ride or die - for how easily we switch from one side to the other, we are always down to ride or die for our chosen people. Even if we distance- we’d still take a bullet for you.
Emptiness- we feel genuinely empty if we don’t have something to feel the void. We see ourselves as shells of people. Or even the human version of Kirby (copycat syndrome). If we don’t have a project or a person to focus on we are empty. 
Loneliness- we are a lonely type because of the incredible amount of stigma related to this illness. We feel like we’re never going to get better. We feel hopeless. When people start leaving and we didn’t leave first, it hurts deeply and for a long time. We value the people we connect with, but that doesn’t mean they value us.
Crazy - we aren’t crazy, you just don’t understand and should do your research
Therapy - whether it be DBT or something else, we would not be far without our therapists and even group therapy. We learn how to assimilate in a more normal and less intense way and learn how to gain control over emotions.
Before you spit on your friends. Research your friends. And figure out how you can be part of a healthy solution, or decide it’s too much for you. But don’t push someone with BPD back and forth, we don’t have time to deal with your indecisiveness while we are trying to heal and make concrete things happen in our lives.
We aren’t perfect, but the ones who are aware of their actions and illnesses are trying. Whether you want to see it or not. We are.
I will say, I have this small, fucked up internal win and I just want to voice it “out loud” since I know you still lurk onto my profile every now and again:
