PLOT
Massachusetts General Hospital is not just a hospital, it’s a teaching hospital that houses interns, residents, and attendings alike. The students from Boston University populate the halls, training for the day they can call themselves surgeons Everyone has their place. Or at least the did. before THE MERGE. Boston Medical Center, just across the city, houses interns and residents from Harvard University. Those who come from legacies, those who come from money. BMC is known as a Safety Net hospital, meaning they take any case, regardless of insurance or payment. Pair that with being a level I trauma center, the hospital sees a lot of action. But when a merge catches the employees of both residents by surprise. Suddenly the surgeons of BMC find themselves pushed into the large and chaotic arms of Mass General. Interns, residents, and attendings alike are gonna have to bring their A game to make the cut. Personalities will clash, lives will be upturned, and nothing will ever be the same again.

there are INTERNS, aka medical students earning their degree and gaining real hispital experience. RESIDENTS aka post graduates who are now learning under interns while they further their education, and ATTENDINGS who are qualified surgeons in their field of choice.
there are also nurses and other titles such as chief of surgery, chief resident, and head of ( insert speciality here )
specialties include general surgery, cardio, proctology, neurology, pediatric, neonatal, fetal, plastics, surgical oncology, transplant surgery, trauma, urology, gynecology, and orthopedic surgery.
most interns either attended Boston University and started their internship at Massachusetts General Hospital or attended Harvard and started their internship at Boston Medical Center. Residents and attending can be from anywhere.
