The bouncy melody fits nicely to the fun lyrics that I really should sit down and translate at some point (especially since I've recently started to re-learn French) with a bit of bilingual wordplay for French & Japanese, and the cutout theater-esque style of the animation compliments the song....Or perhaps I'm just biased by the memory of excitedly watching it for the first time (^.^')

Favorite ultraman opening?
Oh man, that’s a hard one to nail down. I like so many of them. Of the current run of series, I think I really like the OP to Ultraman X.
If we go back to the classic Era, I am even more torn. I really, really enjoy the original OP from the first series but I think, of all of them, I have to give it to the OP to Ultraman Taro.
However, when it comes to covers of the songs my vote has to go to Kagaku Tokusotai’s cover of the first Opening to Ultraman Leo. It just rocks!

Some of the Best Anime Opening Themes
Attack on Titan: I don’t really care if you like the show or the manga, but when you here this song YOU ARE LYING TO ME if it doesn’t get your adrenalin pumping. It’s a strong way to start off the series with upbeat music and fast-paced visuals, and it’s a great song to work out to at the gym. “Guren no Yumiya” by Linked Horizon
Death Parade: Now, people know that the show is about death and uncovering the truth, but the opening number is nothing but happiness and dancing. This upbeat musical number shows the main cast of characters swinging, dancing, and generally having a good time. There’s some foreshadowing, but the overall feel-good vibes might make you over look those signs until it’s too late. "Flyers" by BRADIO
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: After the first ten seconds pull on your heartstrings the rest of the song consists of a pulsing beat that keeps growing until it hits the chorus. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and helps build anticipation for the upcoming episodes. "Period" by Chemistry
Noragami: With the strange accent lighting this opening theme might be off the beaten trail, but as soon as the music kicks in anyone can see that they’re in for a treat.
