It had only been a few days since Teresa arrived to the Glade. And already she hated her assigned job. She was told she had to be a slicer, that is what they assigned the greenies to. But Teresa hated killing animals, despite needing the meat for food. What Teresa really wanted to be was a Med-jack. She felt she was more suited in taking care of the gladers, not slaughtering animals. So when the day ended, and everyone was getting ready to sleep in the homestead, she made her way towards the other.

Tapping them lightly on the shoulder, she didn’t know why, or whether she’d even persuade the other to let her change jobs, but something in her held courage. “What does it take to switch jobs?” She asked bluntly, she knew getting to the point was better then beating around the bush. “I feel that I’d be better suited as a Med-jack, not a slicer.” She explained, the insides of her stomach turning nervously, she hoped she didn’t anger the other by requesting a job change.

Having hunters as parents, meant moving around; a lot. Which meant different schools every time. Sadie didn’t mind this in the least, she was a social butterfly, she knew she could keep her old friends while also meeting so many new ones. So with school bag strapped to her back, she opened the front doors of her new high school. She was ready to make sophomore year the greatest. Confidence nearly beamed out of her, but there was a small part of her on the inside that was nervous.

She held up the schedule that she had been mailed a week ago, and glanced around. She found her locker successfully, but now the harder part came; finding her classes. Her eyes shifted around the hallways, trying to find someone who didn’t appear busy, when her eyes finally landed on someone, she walked to them. Gently tapping them on the shoulder, before speaking, “uh-hi, do you know where I can find this class?” She asked, holding up her schedule, and pointing towards first period, which was English.
