I call this “Turquoise Period.” ;) I consider this an apex pose. I’ll build up an entire sequence to lead to the deep leg and hip opening and butt integration that this pose requires. If the hands don’t easily reach the floor or the wall, add more length by holding onto a block in each hand and bracing blocks against the floor and wall. I work with this pose in two distinct ways, depending on what I feel like doing or what I can do that day. Here is the first way: Inhale, telescope the ribs. Exhale, micro-tuck the tailbone. Feel for space and freedom in pelvic floor. Here is the second way: Inhale, micro-untuck the tailbone (anterior tilt). Exhale, micro-tuck the tailbone (posterior). Sequencing-wise, it’s a useful pose for me to do right before something like Head to Ankle on the Wall or Diving Osprey. #openyourhips #iBleedTurquoiseAndGold #forrestyoga https://www.instagram.com/p/B8gyTmPpV6E/?igshid=19bcz26obqzxp
