"I didn’t take you for a total sap, Ryan," Ray teases, pressing warmly against Ryan’s chest. He feels a little bad as Ryan sniffles and hides his eyes.

"Look, it’s just—" His voice breaks, and Ray holds back a little chuckle. "It’s really emotional - were you watching?” Ryan gestures toward the TV with some frustration. Ray tucks his head against Ryan’s shoulder and kisses his jaw.

"Yeah, I just think you’re cute." Ryan’s cheeks redden, and he grabs a pillow from the arm of the couch to thwap Ray with it.

"You say that, but I sense I’m getting made fun of." He sniffs again and picks up the Blu-ray case from the coffee table. "There should be a warning on this thing - it’s a kids’ movie, but it punches like a grown-up." He sighs and there’s a moment of quiet before he notices Ray is texting. "What are you doing??"

"Telling Michael you cried at the first ten minutes of Up. I owe him ten bucks.” Ray grins up at Ryan and kisses his cheek.

"You’re lucky I love you, or I’d take that personally." Ryan smiles a little sadly and hugs Ray tightly. "Fuck, Ray."

"Yeah, I know. Love you, too, you big teddy bear."
