AFTER ACTION REPORT- 27/SEPT/626

At 18:10 hours, an artillery shell landed atop the CP, and remained unexploded. A warning message lay inside, indicating that the garrison within Northwatch Hold had less than three minutes to surrender, or they would be assailed by Windrunner Loyalist forces.

At 18:13 Hours, Alliance forces stationed themselves upon the wall armed with rifles and cannons to prevent a breach in the wall. Due to the prior, constant Horde artillery shelling, and the previous bombardment thanks to the Alliance Navy, the wall had already received significant damage. As promised, Loyalist forces began their assault on the Hold.

The walls were assaulted by machinery and sappers alike for thirty minutes, until a large mech taller than the walls approached. With no more enemies approaching, Alliance forces rushed out to face the mech. Heavy damage was done to the machine, before CPL Drago Dreadwing ignited it's leaking oil. The machine caught fire internally before it's cache of Azerite ammunition ignited, leaving MSG Marhkus Silusen and CPLs Dreadwing and Gallerius Vala wounded from the result.

Upon the mech's destruction at 19:00 hours, the assault ended. Loyalist causalities seem to indicate complete annihilation of their forces. No exact count could be called, but estimates number at least several hundred.

Alliance forces took 235 casualties, with 45 confirmed KIA and the rest wounded. The wall still holds, but is in desperate need of repair. It will not sustain another assault, but it will keep further Loyalist footmen out.

“I sentence you... To death.”

Lord Marshal Lebryn Edain stood before the 47th Infantry Regiment, the traitorous Sergeant Major Ichebod Grimm kneeling before him. Lebryn’s sword Olivia rested on the Worgen’s neck, the Lord Marshal carefully observing where to make a clean slice.

Sergeant Major Ichebod Grimm was responsible for the deaths of over 2,000 of the 47th’s soldiers. He had a bad habit of keeping his mouth shut and initially Lebryn was under the assumption it was simply due to ignorance. But then it kept happening.

Lebryn had ordered Maven Yurissa Scarletleaf and her men to investigate the loose-lipped Gilnean and did indeed find him to be up to no good. They managed to subdue the man and bring him before the Lord Marshal, who now cast his judgment on Ichebod.

“Do you have any final words?” Lebryn had asked Ichebod, who used the opportunity to mock him and the 47th; taking glee in the carnage he had ensued.

“I’ve heard enough,” the Lord Marshal declared, raising the sword and bringing it down on the traitor’s neck. Ichebod’s head rolled and a spurt of blood stained the cobblestone ramp.

The deed was done.

BEACHHEADS ARE ESTABLISTED Dawn, September 16th, 626. Alliance Naval forces which had set sail for Kalimdor a week prior arrived off shore and began a naval bombardment of the coast of the Southern Barrens. The bombardment lasted for a whole 30 minutes before the first of the Alliance infantry forces began making their way to the beach to secure the area. Intelligence reports had originally been made aware that Horde military forces in the area would be light but dug in. The report had been made incorrect after a misinformation campaign by the Horde and enemy numbers were larger than anticipated. The first wave of Alliance soldiers to land found it incredibly difficult, facing off against a variety of artillery, machine-gun fire, and spells while also having to navigate through anti-tank obstacles, barbed wire, and mines. The second wave soon followed which also experienced tremendous difficulty before the third wave joined the fray. Several Navy ships off the coast suffered damage, with some having to be abandoned due to return fire from Horde battery positions. Pushing through extraordinary adversity, the Alliance soldiers continued to push up the beach and eventually made their way into Northwatch Hold where they recaptured it in the name of the Alliance. Further advances are expected within the coming weeks.

1A3 has reported that Fort Triumph to the south of FOB Forward Command has fallen silent after several days of communication. Scouts sent to investigate have not returned.

With Loyalist forces still active in the area, it is assumed that the Fort may have been attacked and has been occupied.

1A is ordered to approach Fort Triumph from the north and determine the Fort's status. If it is occupied by enemy forces, 1A are to flush them out and recapture it. Should 2nd Battalion still be occupying the position then 1A will do whatever is necessary to assist.

AFTER ACTION REPORT - 16/SEPT/626

As the Navy began their shore bombardment on schedule at dawn, the 47th IR began to load into the transports which would take them to the shores of Kalimdor and the Southern Barrens.

The first wave to make landfall encountered heavy enemy resistance; the opposite of what was expected and suffered immense casualties. The second wave fared little better but more of the soldiers managed to make it ashore. When the third wave attempted to land, several Alliance Navy ships off the coast took artillery fire and resulted in many of the soldiers being thrown into the water.

I myself was with the third wave and we struggled to make it ashore. When we did, we found that the clifface overlooking the beach and the nearby Northwatch Hold were targeting our advancing troops with artillery, machine-gun fire, and spells. I gave the command for the troops to keep advancing across the beach and towards Northwatch Hold.

Some of the emplacements on the Hold's walls were disabled and the soldiers of 1A began pouring into Northwatch. Hand-to-hand combat erupted and after a vicious battle the Horde defenders were cut down to the last man.

The Regiment took a total of 1,400 casualties with 644 of that number KIA. Several are still MIA.

With Northwatch Hold in friendly hands, we will be using it as a base of operations to further advance our push into the Southern Barrens and subsequently the rest of Kalimdor.

AFTER ACTION REPORT - 09/30/626

1A moved west from Northwatch Hold through the jungle overgrowth of the Southern Barrens in an attempt to establish FOB Forward Command.

When we reached the edge of the jungle, an abandoned camp was found littered with debris but nothing useful. RCT Laderson Williams was wounded by an IED which was in the guise of a stuffed teddy bear but was treated by PVT Raelinda Silvershine before we moved on.

Traversing through the jungle proved difficult. We were stopped when RCT Rexinald Whitefield noticed a tripwire, which was attached to two AP mines. I ordered MSG Zalra Azurestar to deactivate the mines due to her training as an engineer.

While we were waiting on MSG Azurestar, a pack of raptors happened upon us and wounded a couple of soldiers. Once more PVT Silvershine was able to tend to them, including MSG Azurestar who tripped the wire during the raptor attack.

Continuing on, we found a plagued water source near the edge of the jungle. Gas masks were ordered on and I recommend the water source be treated by Druids and Shaman as soon as possible to slow the spread and heal the earth.

Once out of the jungle, the troops established FOB Forward Command. We occupied the FOB for several hours until PVT Silvershine was shot in the head by an unseen sniper after RCT Branford Reid saluted her in the field. She was put into critical condition and evacuated back to Northwatch as soon as we were able to do so safely.

The sniper was located and captured alive after a brief firefight.

I am recommending PVT Silvershine be awarded both the Physician's Medal for assisting in healing several soldiers during the action as well as the King's Cross for wounds sustained.

I am also recommending PVT Quinn Mac'aSionnach receive the Physician's Medal for assistance in saving PVT Silvershine's life.

AFTER ACTION REPORT - 24/SEPT/626 The entirety of the 47th Infantry Regiment were specifically requested to aid High King Anduin Wrynn in representing the Alliance for the taking of the Horde capital of Orgrimmar. We would be fighting alongside Horde rebels under the command of High Overlord Varok Saurfang and former Warchief Thrall. Both armies met in Razor Hill, south of the city and were briefed. We were informed that the Alliance would splinter into two groups: one would assault the main, southern gates while the others would hold the western flank and wait for further instructions. I placed 1st and 2nd Battalion on the southern assault group while 3rd secured the flank. As we approached the city, High Overlord Saurfang challenged Warchief Sylvanas Windrunner to mak'gora, a ceremonial ritual of combat sacred to members of the Horde. High King Wrynn enforced that this was to be respected and the Alliance soldiers were instructed to remain in position. High Overlord Saurfang was killed before the Warchief seemingly abandoned the Horde and fled. Orgrimmar was taken without a single Alliance casualty and the war was subsequently brought to an end thanks to our actions and meticulous planning. Lord MAR Lebryn Edain, 47th IR CO

Lord Marshal Edain is concerned that pockets of Loyalists are still active in the Southern Barrens and has ordered 1A to established a FOB to act as a early warning in case of any further attacks.

1A is to set out westward from Northwatch Hold in a combat patrol while carrying the supplies necessary to construct the FOB.

Once in the area, 1A will set up a perimeter and established FOB Forward Command and await further instructions.
