for the past few weeks now radar’s mood had been an anxious one. being responsible for the safety and well-being of eleven other people had been a cross that he had chosen to bear, but a heavy one nonetheless. with no life threatening occurrences or even any minor disturbances sending them running for the hills in the last few months, radar spent every waking moment waiting for someone from the school to jump out from behind a bush and capture them all. it was a stressful existence, really, and one that was making him more and more paranoid with each passing day.
with haze and psy out of the hotel room (two of the few people radar could actually trust to leave a room without immediately landing themselves in trouble), he and aura had the place to themselves. alone time was a rarity with a group so large, but he was appreciative of every second of it. being around her was always comforting, and it was an infrequent chance to let his guard down and actually speak his mind. radar threw himself onto the bed, bouncing slightly as he hit the mattress. “things have been quiet,” he said, propping himself up on his elbows. “way too quiet for way too long. and, honestly, i don’t know how much more of that i can take.”
