If there was one thing people noticed about Zola, it was that the girl always had her head in the books. Many people found her fascination with learning new things a little strange, particularly when it came to mythology; some would even go as far to say the young woman was obsessed. But of course, she didn’t see it that way. Reading about mythology was a way for Zola to cope; live in a different universe. And if she could have it her way, she would be in a different one now, which is why she found herself in the middle of the bookstore late at night with candles all around her. Earlier in the day, she just so happened upon a book that looked like it hadn’t been open in years, one that after skimming through quickly, she realized it to be a book of rituals.Letting her boss know that she was going to stay late and stack book was just a rouse so she could be alone with what she wanted to do - or at least attempt. A part of her was hoping the rituals were real, but the other wondering if they’d actually work.
There were many rituals, some for which Zola wasn’t even sure what would happen if she tried them. However there was one that had caught her eye in the day, one that if followed correctly, could summon a demon. It would be scary to some people, but to her not. So she set everything up and began repeating the words splayed out in front of her.
