How does OPPO band compare with the fitness bands of Honor, Mi, and OnePlus?
Launched on the 8th of March, the OPPO Smart Band Style will give many of its competitors a run for their money. With this product, the OPPO brand has ventured into the budget fitness tracker segment in India. Priced at roughly Rs. 3,999, this fitness band sports a simple design in a capsule-shaped module inside a silicone strap.
A 2.5D curved glass accompanies the 1.1-inch AMOLED display for protecting the screen. The fitness band is water-resistant up to 50 metres, with a 5ATM certification.
It is capable of tracking 12 workout modes that include reduced-fat running, training assistant, indoor running, outdoor running, walking, cycling, indoor cycling, swimming, elliptical machine, rowing machine, badminton, free training.
However, the major highlight of the OPPO Smart Band Style is its continuous Sp O2 monitoring, which helps you track the oxygen level in your blood. The best part is, this function is active even when you are sleeping, which can detect drops in oxygen level at night.
This in turn, is highly crucial in identifying sleep breathing problems, and providing alerts whenever the band senses potential health risks. This is all the more important for brain workers, snorers, and senior citizens.
Backed by 16 months of continuous research and development, OPPO could incorporate this technology in this fitness band. Unlike most blood oxygen monitors available in the market, this does not depend on isolated readings reflecting the blood oxygen level of a single instant.
It also offers features like sleep monitoring, besides daily activity trackers such as steps taken, calories burnt, distance travelled, and sedentary reminder. Additionally, OPPO has equipped the product with a host of innovative features such as notification mirroring, caller ID display, reject calls, stopwatch, alarm clock, weather, music control, and find my phone.
In terms of battery life, the 100mAh battery unit will last for about 12 days on a single charge. However, it also depends on usage habits. The charger in the package will be able to charge this product fully in 90 minutes. What’s more, the OPPO Band supports over 40 watch faces, depending on the requirement.
If you are keen to buy this, you can check it out on Amazon.
