Wolfstar, January 9, word count 291
Previous part First part
“If you’re not opposed to it, can I stay here again?” Sirius asked, yawning after the final episode of Frost had finished. Remus couldn’t believe they’d got through every episode already.
“Oh, you’re asking now?” Remus said, raising an eyebrow and failing to keep the smile off his face. Sirius shrugged.
“I don’t want James to think I’m taking advantage of you,” Sirius mumbled, making Remus chuckle.
“Sirius, you haven't even met him in person yet. That and you seriously aren’t taking advantage of me; I honestly can’t figure out why you want to hang out in my crappy flat when you can afford to stay anywhere,” He watched Sirius wince and knew he’d struck a nerve. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you,” He said, watching Sirius carefully. Sirius shook his head.
“No, you’re right. I can afford to stay wherever I want. I mean I do have a flat of my own I could stay at, but, Remus, it doesn’t matter where I sleep, I just like being with you.” He looked up at Remus from under his eyelashes, completely open and vulnerable. Remus felt a sudden need to protect Sirius and pulled him in close.
“You can stay here whenever you like,” He murmured into Sirius’s hair as he hugged him tight. Sirius wiggled closer, his body pressed as closely to Remus’s as he could get. “I really like spending time with you as well,” Remus told him. And he really did.
They picked through Remus’s selection of DVDs and put on a film as it was still early, and neither was ready for bed. Sirius was basically in Remus’s lap and kept nuzzling his nose into Remus’s neck, and Remus couldn’t think of anywhere he’d rather be.
