Tip #123: LOOK FOR OPPOSITE MOTIONS. There’s power in filming a group of subjects all moving in the same direction: horses stampeding, marathoners running, birds flocking. But when two or more subjects move in opposite directions, the contrast can be intriguing. Railfans call the phenomenon a “meet”—two trains passing by each other heading in opposite directions. Another example is tennis players charging the net at the same moment. The frame here is from “Onnanocos”, a mini-documentary shot using a micro drone. Th movie was chosen as a Mobile Movie of the Week. You can see it at MobileMovieMaking Magazine (link in profile). If you’ve shot a clip that feature subjects moving in opposite directions, we invite you to tell us about it in the comments and share it with #oppositemotions. #mobilemoviemakingtips #shotdesign #cinematography #mobilemovieoftheweek #dronevideos #microdrones #japaneseschool https://www.instagram.com/p/B0l_Y06gsEK/?igshid=1um7g6io21m8d
