Yuuto wasn't one to judge upon Houses to pick out with whom he'd work together on a project, really -- he tried to get along with everyone, as much as possible. Though, lately he had noticed how he had to avoid Slytherins for their rude nature, the way they kept mocking others -- mostly Hufflepuffs as himself -- making fatty-jokes, and whatnot, it was pretty low and pretty silly -- most of those things entered one ear only to exit to the other. Still, he'd rather pick out other partners if possible.
However, he was out of luck. The professor had put together the best potion wizards and witches from all classes of the Hufflepuff and Slytherin houses with those who lacked the talent -- looking around, he prayed to be put on one kettle with a fellow Hufflepuff, only to be directed to a Slytherin, who looked like he attended classes above him. Creepy. As if the boy's white hair wasn't cold enough, his pale skin and ice-blue eyes just made this picture a whole, Shinkai did not dare to think that he was typically cold for a student of the snake's house, but he could think such a comment at least.
So, that meant the boy was good at potions -- or at least better than Yuuto -- which wasn't a huge task per se! The trouble now was to work together, or rather to be tutored by the other. He could already imagine the mean comments and the hurtful mockery flooding out of the other's mouth like poisonous fluids, though he had to endure it for the sake of... learning something. Looking at the bright side: at least that guy was a student years ahead of him, so he could easily teach the boy some things.
Quietly standing next to the other -- who was smaller, despite the age -- he turned pages in the potion book, merely to gain time and to avoid starting right ahead, acting like he did not find the required page, thinking he could gain more time if he acted stupid, too. "So... uhm... what potion did he say we have to brew? Was it on page 586? Or 865? No... wait... I think, he said 685--"
