OPEN RP-Oppressive Darkness
Snow White collapsed at the edge of a river, dead tired still not able to see a single thing. She knew it was nighttime, however, because she could tell by the sounds of the forest. She carefully dipped her hands in the cool water, washing her face. She winced, however, because there were two cuts on her face and her hands were scratched all over. Both of her knees were scraped, and her legs were scratched as well. In just three days of being completely without sight, she was wounded badly and she had not slept a wink. Everything hurt, and she was still only conscious because she was trying to survive.
She felt a deep, dark sadness in her heart, making her whole body ache more. She felt so completely alone, and without her sight she just felt useless. The people of Tabor had a weak, poor heroine in her opinion-she wondered now why they looked up to her. Sure, she was life and probably the only reason this kingdom had a sufficient reason to revolt, but she did not feel that way now. She just felt...empty, hopeless.
Memories of her parents invaded her head now, bright sunny scenes where she was laughing with William and her parents called to her to wait for them as they played in the gardens. Those moments seemed so far away now, almost like a dream, compared to the dark world that constantly surrounded her.
She was tired of the death, the sorrow, the sickness that Ravenna had brought upon her. She was tired of the loneliness that she felt, the complete isolation she had been in her entire life.
And, in that moment of pure despair and sorrow, she asked for Death. Snow White asked for the Lord to take her soul peacefully, so she may be with her parents and live in those faraway happy memories forever.
Snow White closed her cloudy white eyes, waiting, as if a lightning bolt were going to come down and hit her. But no, nothing happened, she only felt the sharp wind sting her cuts and scrapes. She realized how weak her wish was now, how cowardly. How could she wish for death when her people were counting on her to save them?
"Mother...Father...I have failed you..."
Snow White whispered this softly, and for the first time she felt tears in her eyes, and the sorrow of the past three months of living in the god forsaken forest and the horrible memories of her whole life weighed on her shoulders, and she looked up, her pale bleeding face shining in the moonlight, tears running quickly down her face.
And when she heard someone near her, she bit her red lip and looked down, and then she managed to say in a sorrowful voice, "Please, stranger, just leave me be."
