hello hello i wanted to tell you a funny story :3

i live in a very very homophobic country and its like a crime you can get leashed and all

and i have your dogs as my background so one day my friend took my phone cuz we study together in the library and he needed it

so not only he saw them HE CHECKED YOUR PAGE(cuz i sometimes open bunch of chrome tabs) and yeah now im the (sus) friend in the group :D

Dog Italy (just like Real Human Person Italy) has universal public healthcare. He wouldn't go broke because he had to have an unexpected lifesaving surgery.

#1500's Machete is extremely not broke #he's a cardinal and nouveau riche without pre-existing inherited debt or family to share his wealth with #and modern version isn't doing badly either he has a well paying job and the beginnings of a respectable career #I suspect he might in fact choose to voluntarily invest in above average health insurance and supplemental private healthcare anyway #as you may know by now he has a number of chronic conditions going on and he frequently gets random bugs and boo-boos on top of that #the whole act of existing in a physical body is a significant source of distress and anxiety for him #he'd probably do perfectly fine with the public route but this is one of those #“prioritizing this brings me peace of mind and I can afford it” type of situations #answered #opthame #modern au #he might lose his fancypants job later on and perhaps go a tiny bit broke temporarily at some point for character growth reasons #but that's neither here nor there
