Imagine humans interacting with aliens and they start showing each other optical illusions. But like, they work differently for different species (because they would have totally different quirks of how their brains work).

So some illusions do nothing for other species. But some act as different illusions for different species (so maybe one sees it moving while another sees weird colors from the same illusion)

And then some illusions work the same for all species. And there’s a subgroup of neurologists/xenobiologists that are obsessed with them because they are indications of specific errors consistent across all advanced brains. Which probably has Implications
