I know you're probly over the Den-O discussion but I still think Ryotaro handing back the belt in the finale is like, the culmination of his arc of self-confidence? He got thrown into all this because he was a baby coward at the start, and at the end he is finally confident enough in himself and his choices to know that he can make them under his own power. And bc he leaves on his own terms, he'd be willing to come BACK if they need him (as proven by the multiple movies)

YES! this is what i’ve always been saying. i adore the end of den-o even if it makes me sad to see him leave the gang behind, bc it’s just so perfect for him as a character... he’s changed, he’s stronger now, and he wants to see what he can do without everyone there as a safety net.

it’s such a good arc that’s so subtle for a bright, happy kids show... it’s not talked about outright so much as you just watch it happen gradually as things progress. i love you ryotaro den-o ;_;

I wanna watch Hibiki bc I fucking love the idea of Taiko Master Rider but apparently it just falls to shit in the second half?? This saddens me

yeah unfortunately the 2nd half of hibiki isn’t what i would call,,, “good” but i still really recommend the show! the 1st half really is so unique & “comfy,” and even the 2nd half isn’t quite as awful as some people will tell you - it’s fairly standard mr inoue content that just feels worse bc of how it doesn’t match with the rest. 

and at the very ending it does manage to wrap things up on a nice, fitting note. i am constantly in mourning for what hibiki could’ve been but what it is is still definitely worth watching.
