WCIF the rubber ducky earrings in your "Candy Corn Cutie" post? They're adorable. :)
Hiya! You can find theses rubber duckies HERE by great-soil. just something to keep in mind, this is part of their older unsupported cc so I’d add them in your game with caution. I haven’t used these in a while but the creator does not plan to update them if the game does break the file :)
This is my second attempt at making this because tumblr decided to stop working and so I lost it (the post and my mind). But anyway, I’ve been wanting to make this post for months! These are my favourite writing blogs + blogs I’ve been following for a while. (gif not mine!)
@justauthoring - I’ve been following this blog for a while now! They’ve written so many fics and they write for so many fandoms! I first discovered them when I was going through a Bellamy Blake phase (lol) and read all their fics for him. My favourite series from them is Feigning The Connection. It’s a series paired with Bellamy Blake from the 100. I’ve also read all their Kylo Ren fics and enjoyed every one! They’re writing is so good and they upload so frequently. Definitely check them out, there is something there for everyone, so you won’t be disappointed.
@kyloholic - I know they have a different blog now but a large chunk of their writing is on this blog! But here is their newer blog for more recent content: @thotloren. I might be a little biased with this one because they were my very first Kylo blog and easily became my favourite. Unfortunately, I can’t find all their older fics that I loved from kyloholic, but I’m enjoying their series Black Beauty right now! And this is their masterlist. They write for a lot of Adam’s character’s, like Adam Sackler (@adamsnackler). I just really love their writing and they’ve been a constant inspiration for me! (You can also check out their Ao3 account, supremeleader). Oh! and they also make awesome edits and wonderful fanart.
@chaostheoryy - Another blog I’ve been following for a long while! They write for a bunch of different fandoms, here is one of their masterlist’s. I think I started following them because justauthoring recommended them, and then I found the Kylo Ren fics and read them all! I’ve also enjoyed their CSI fics, because ya girl used to be a sucker for Nick Stokes back in the day. :’) They’re writing is very, very good and very thought out, and they definitely do not get as much love as they should, because I love their writing!
@kylo-renne - Followed them because kyloholic reblogged my absolute favourite series from them, Fateful Ties. I think they’ve written for almost every single one of Adam’s character’s with very creative plots and ideas. Literally the longest masterlist I’ve ever seen because they’ve compiled all of them into one link, its Adam Driver heaven! Definitely check that out! They’re writing is absolutely great and I love it, and you could probably search for multiple different topics and find that they’ve written them. Just an over all wonderful blog filled with all the Adam content you could ever wish for. :’)
@aclamclriver - Pretty sure they’re on a bit of a hiatus, but this blog is your ultimate place for the sin bin. They write both SWF and NSFW for a lot of Adam’s character’s. Their writing is amazing and so is their smut! Here’s a masterlist, and god, what a good list it is!
@jedi-goddess-temple - Have to include them because not only is their writing great but they’re also one of my favourite people to interact with! Their masterlist is shorter then the others, but they have 3 series on the go, and both of them are so, so, so amazing! My favourite series is @where-the-mountain-meets-the-sea, and their third series is here: @empyrean-creatures. But you can find them all on the masterlist linked. Other than their talent in writing, what also makes their writing so good is how much research and planning they do for their fics. You can tell they put a lot of time into them and it definitely pays off!
@optimisticsprinkles - I had to include one Reylo blog! I haven’t read everything they have to offer, but I absolutely adore their fic, Soul Searching. It has many chapters to it and a great plot that starts with a Student/teacher AU, which I’m a sucker for. :’) The writing is so good, like I can only dream of being able to write that well! Haha. The chapters are long and Ben and Rey’s characters are so well written and in character, and upload times are very reasonable. I can’t give a high enough praise for this fic, nor do I have a broad enough vocabulary to express all my feelings and love for it, lol.
@delia-pavorum - I’m a newer follower to this blog, but yes, its another Reylo blog! They’re writing is amazing as well, and I love reading their prompts on my dash everyday. I don’t think they have a masterlist for them, but you can definitely find them easily on their blog. You can find their Ao3 here where they’ve put a bunch of their writing! I’m looking forward to reading more in the future from them!

Do you ever knit while working on a story? How does that work? Set it down to type? Or work out plot knots (pun intended) in your head while your hands are busy?
nah not really. knitting’s my “i’m watching tv but don’t want to be on my computer” activity, or a long car ride activity, or a conversation w/friends activity. it slows my brain down (in a good way! i need that, tbh.) and when i write i’m usually trying to get my brain to move faster.
@optimisticsprinkles replied to your post “I really would like to know what triggered the idea for The Knotting...”
I am not (knot) a knitter, but I want to learn. I've been trying to wait until my daughter is old enough not to run with knitting needles and unravel every project, but your fic is 100% making me want to start right now.
do ittttttttt!!!!!!! knitting!!!!!!!! is the best!!!!!!!!

@captainsaku Also, I completely agree with "I started writing over a decade ago, and the content I produced back then was... well, I thought it was good. Looking back? It wasn't." This is true for me as well. It's a survival mechanism, really, because if we knew how bad we were we might have given up.
Hi!! Moving to a fresh post because it’s easier to keep track of replies and stuff ;P
I just read your post and I agree!! I’ve been writing since I was roughly 16, and English is not my first language. Understandably, my first attempts at writing were... bad. Paired with the “lol random XD” movement back then, you ended up with some.... interesting.... pieces. The important part was that I was having fun, and I had friends in my general age group who encouraged my writing and even Roleplayed with me, and that kind of moved me up a rung or two in the Skill Ladder.
I, too, was a young aspiring writer when I was a teen. And hell, I thought my stuff was good! I thought it was awesome, and that I was smart and my characters were the best! Looking back? There were.... many self-inserts and Mary Sues and a long list of tropey etceteras. But I had fun. It was my sandbox to play in, and I built castles and forged relationships and broke them off and made my characters suffer. I also made them what I considered to be awesome, gave them famous parents or a bright and alluring personality that made them The Most Popular. I was playing, after all. And, by playing, I got better at the craft.
I eventually finished High School, chose the wrong course of studies to follow, and finally switched courses to become a translator. I deal in linguistics, words and phrases, and that’s what I work with all day, every day, so of course I’ve honed my skill.
Writing for myself and for my friends and for the sake of having fun made me into a better creative thinker. Writing for work made me into a better writer in terms of grammar. I’ve been working in my field for over 5 years now, and writing for over 10, so yeah, I’m confident that what I write is better than what most teens could write. That isn’t to say that teens are talentless or whatever. I’ve just had MUCH longer to hone my skill and turn it into what it is today. And maybe these kids will get there too, and even surpass me! I don’t claim to be the best, but it is simply a universal truth that adults have had more time, and therefore more experience, which translates into generally better content produced, whatever our craft is.
I don’t think it’s a survival mechanism so much as it is a product of our surroundings, the friends we have, and the kind of encouragement we receive. The mistake would be to compare what you write or draw (or etc) to what someone infinitely more experienced writes or draws (etc.).
Bottom line? We’ve all been there. They just can’t see it now. Which is why I’m a strong proponent of organizing a day for showing up and coming authors our first attempts at our craft. We were awful once, too! The awful was just buried in the depths of the Internet, or just never saw the light of day!
Okay, so the triplets. Could you (or anyone) make a bunch of writing prompts for those wacky kids? Just anything you want to see or you know they'd do.
This is s a very interesting idea! Guys, would you like to share?
