im omw to the club and had a talk before with my dad and like,, wow. Damn. Its so crazy how different people see sexual assault situations.

Like hes a cishet man, who in his youth wore skirts but was still obviously a taller guy. And who was also young a while ago. So for him, if you get harassed you tell a bouncer. You leave the situation and get the guy kicked out, and its for the obvious better and everyone will believe you. Or you tell a guy-friend, who will play the Boyfriend Card.

But for me, a short trans-guy who doesn’t pass in a lot of eyes at the club, its so different. Like i wouldn’t call a bouncer bc it’s unnecessarily dramatic. I know the aggressor should be thrown out but i have no believe in anyone taking it super serious or believing us if a friend says she got touched inappropriately. We’re all capable of saying no but we’re all worried about how the Man will react. If he would get angry. And our cis-male friends dont even notice, so they don’t help. Tho the Boyfriend Card would def still work.
