ive been glancing over w concern at the online safety act but no one was/is really talking about so ive been trying to convince myself that its not that bad right?? Right???
but it is. its EXTREMELY fucking concerning
bluesky is not an outlier- as far as im aware, all websites will be required to do this by the end of the month. some sites have even shut down already because they can’t afford the cost of it

No#same as my face#or banking#in a world of data selling and data breaches thats not going to stay fucking private#and its especially worrying for marginalised groups#also kids are resourceful. how much is this going to stop them if they are determined#free vpns exist#and is there not a risk of funnelling them and others into REALLY unregulated online spaces??
