I kept waiting for the finale to start, for the characters to try one more time to get everyone back. When Carry On My Wayward Son started playing, I thought it was a fake out, that we’d get Dean realizing he needed to see Cas, or Sam wanting Dean back, or SOMETHING. But by the time I realized I was going to stay wanting for that resolution, Jared and Jenson were thanking me for watching and the credits had started rolling.
