Tbh my favorite thing about the Star Trek AOS fandom is how shippable everything is without conflict. Spirk? You got that w/o any Uhura bashing and stable relationships all around. McKirk? Coolio - you can add a side of Spuhura. Mcspirk? Of course! It's just the Space Children™ on the Enterprise no matter what you ship, which is why Star Trek is rapidly becoming my favorite fandom

For the love of fuck can I just like something without having to wade through the myriad things we already know is wrong with it to get to the justification of why I still like it??? Why is it so important that I justify myself? Who the fuck invited you? Maybe I don't want to psychoanalyze the thing to the point where I can no longer disconnect from that analysis and just enjoy it anymore. Maybe I already acknowledged that the thing has big problems. Do you just expect me to pretend all of those serotonin paths just don't exist anymore? Do you think it's just so easy to pretend that it's dead?
