Finally started playing BG3 (on xbox) last night and OMG is it complicated. I don't know if it's just cause I'm too old and rusty or the fact that I've never played DnD or either of the previous BG games, but it is overwhelming. Character creation alone took me like a fucking hour (granted I do actually like that, but I just wanted to start the damn game and figure out the mechanics). So. Many. Options. Then it took me forever to figure out how to get to my fucking inventory. There's so many menus! Thank the goddess it's a turn based game or my ass would have been taken out immediately while I struggled to figure out the menus and options during battle. Got into one stupid battle near the beginning and Astarion was basically dead the entire time. I'd pick him up and then the enemy would just one-shot him immediately. Conclusion: I'm too old for this. 😭

Coral Island my love 😭 I haven't played since the official release bc I reset my laptop, but I've played it since beta, how is it???

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! I love the setting and how the fantasy element and magic is woven into the plot. I also really love the fuck the pufferfish corporation angle

and the map is big enough but not too big that it's daunting, there's always something to explore but it doesn't feel impossible. earning money is a tad slow, but I like that you can still do most things without it!!

idk what they added since beta, but the latest update let's you get married and have kids which was ultimately the thing that finally got me to buy djdjd (enabled by @star--nymph)
